ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Annie Stenseth is a sculptor based in Northeast Wisconsin. She grew up on a farm in Northeast Iowa and earned her B.A. in Art from Luther College. In 2019, she relocated to Door County, where she continues to develop her studio practice and deepen her connection to the Midwest arts community.
Working primarily in ceramics and metal, Annie’s work explores the evolving nature of personal growth and identity. Her practice engages with themes such as trauma, sexuality, mental health, self-perception, and morality—often through the lens of the human body and its capacity for transformation.
Annie currently serves as the Ceramic Studio Coordinator at the NWTC Artisan and Business Center, supporting the creative community while advancing her own artistic work. Her sculptures have been featured in group exhibitions at the Kristin Wigley-Fleming Fine Arts Gallery, ArtHaus in Decorah, The Art Garage and the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay, the Hardy Gallery in Door County, and the Trout Museum of Art in Appleton.
